Head of West Java Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Jules Abraham Abast reveals the truck driver initials is R, aged 43 years old.

“Today the investigators of the Purwakarta Sub-regional Police Traffic Unit are questioning him,” said Jules on Tuesday (11/12/2024).

Previously, a horrific traffic accident occurred on Cipularang Traffic Road at 15.15 pm. The accident wrecked a total of 17 vehicles including the truck.

A total of 30 victims were reported to be injured, with one fatality, four suffering major injuries, and the other 25 suffering minor injuries. All are undergoing medical treatment at two hospitals in Purwakarta.
