Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) to prioritize early warning systems in regions vulnerable to heavy rainfall and possible extreme weather ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holiday period. 

“The President requested continuous attention to BMKG’s early warnings, especially for areas expected to see higher rainfall during Christmas and New Year,” State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said on Saturday (13/12/2025), as reported by antaranews.com

The instruction was delivered as President Prabowo visited an evacuation post in Tanjung Pura, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. Beyond disaster mitigation, the President highlighted the need to maintain stable supplies of basic goods and food nationwide.

He also ordered readiness of public facilities, fuel availability, and uninterrupted telecommunications services to support security, mobility, and public comfort throughout the long holiday period.
