Inp.polri.go.id - Gyeongju.  President Prabowo Subianto and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung discussed the continuation of the joint KF-21 Boramae fighter jet development during a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the APEC Summit 2025 in Gyeongju, South Korea, on Saturday (1/11/2025).

“I think we will continue to discuss the follow-up of the KF-21 project. Negotiations are ongoing, and of course, they always depend on economic factors, pricing, and financing schemes,” President Prabowo said in a recorded statement received in Jakarta, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Both leaders reiterated their commitment to strengthening defense cooperation, which has been a key element of the Indonesia–South Korea partnership. President Lee expressed optimism that the collaboration would bring greater benefits for both nations and serve as a model of effective international defense cooperation.

President Prabowo also praised South Korea’s continued engagement in Indonesia’s defense and economic sectors.
