Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar on Wednesday (24/12/2025) called on Christian communities across Indonesia to mark Christmas 2025 by strengthening faith, love, and hope starting from the family.

Speaking in Jakarta, the minister said this year’s Christmas theme, “God Is Present to Save the Family,” highlights the family as the foundation of religious life, social harmony, and national resilience.

“If families are strengthened, churches will grow, society will remain harmonious, and the nation will regain hope,” Minister Nasaruddin said in his Christmas message, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He noted that amid polarization, economic pressure, and the impact of natural disasters, families must once again become safe spaces for faith, compassion, and humanity. The Ministry of Religious Affairs, he added, has made family resilience a strategic priority to instill moderation, empathy, and social responsibility from an early age.

The minister also urged families to reflect faith through care for the environment, calling simple actions such as reducing plastic use and saving energy a form of gratitude to God. He further reminded the public that Christmas should be celebrated with solidarity for disaster victims, emphasizing that its true strength lies in sharing and compassion.
