Inp.polri.go.id – South Sumatra. The South Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Albertus Rachmad Wibowo reminds his members about the importance of police neutrality during election as they carried out their duties as state security officials.
His statement came as Indonesia was covered with high tension atmosphere as election looms ahead. Albertus says that there are many security threat potentials as the general society are on edge during the election.
The police chief emphasized his members to do anticipatory measures in accordance to their respective duties and works with their colleagues and related stakeholders. According to him, those steps are important to suppress any threat potentials that could arose in public.
“I invite and remind all South Sumatra Regional Police to give our best service to the community. Carry out your duty professionally,” calls Albertus on Monday (1/8/2024).
The Two-Star General also underscores and highlights police neutrality on the election as their duty is to only to ensure the election goes safely.
“I also want to address about the police neutrality during the election that we have to realize. This is something that we have to conduct as was ordered by police leaders, while we ensure the election safety professionally,” stressed Albertus in his closing remarks.
