inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Puncak Jaya Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Ahmad Fauzan said that currently the security situation in Puncak Jaya Regency is gradually conducive and community activities are recovering after peace between the two warring groups.
It is true that the security situation, especially in Mulia, the capital of Puncak Jaya Regency, is slowly becoming conducive and residents are returning to their daily activities.
"People who sell their agricultural products have now returned," said Ahmad Fauzan, noting the conducive situation in Mulia, Thursday (5/15/2025).
He said that even though it is relatively conducive, members are still conducting dialogical patrols to provide a sense of security to the people.
When patrolling, members also appeal to residents not to carry traditional weapons such as bows and arrows.
The patrol will be carried out every day by walking through residents' settlements to provide a sense of security.
"Hopefully the appeal will be obeyed so that the security situation recovers," hoped Ahmad Fauzan.
Previously, Monday (5/12/2025) two conflicting community groups due to the tense situation of the regional head elections agreed to make peace, which was marked by breaking the Doli wood.
