inp.polri.go.id – Tangerang. The South Tangerang Police managed to secure four marijuana dealers and confiscated 39 kilograms of marijuana from the perpetrators. The South Tangerang Police Chief, AKBP Sarly Sollu, explained that the four suspects were arrested in the East Jakarta area, each with the initials JI, AD, BM, and FS. They often distribute marijuana in the Tangerang, Bogor and South Jakarta areas. "The disclosure of this case begins with information from the perpetrators who have been arrested and examined by the police. From that information, we are able to arrest four perpetrators in the South Cipinang Besar area, Jatinegara, East Jakarta," explained the Police Chief, Wednesday (20/7/22). From the results of the examination, the police chief said the four suspects had their own respective roles. JI is the owner of the goods that controls the circulation of goods and controls the money. AD and BM play the role of couriers, while FS plays as couriers and distributors. "They are cannabis specialists, and they have no other job other than that. Their network is from Aceh and has been operated for six months," he explained. The police also secured the marijuana along with digital scales, a motorbike, and a car. "The evidence that we have secured is 36 marijuana blocks with a net weight of 34,968 grams (approximately 35 kg), 91 packets of marijuana ready for distribution weighing 4,116 grams (4 kg), one digital scale, one motorcycle, and one car," he explained. For their actions, the four suspects will be subject to Article 114 paragraph (2) Jo 132 paragraph (1) or 111 paragraph (2) Jo 132 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. "The perpetrator is threatened with the death penalty, life imprisonment, or imprisonment for a minimum of six years and a maximum of 20 years," explained the Police Chief.
