Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate General of Taxes revealed that 282 companies violated crude palm oil (CPO) export regulations through document forgery and under-invoicing schemes, causing an estimated Rp 140 billion ($8.5 million) in potential tax losses.

“This marks an early milestone in uncovering export fraud where goods were falsely declared as ‘fatty matter’ to avoid taxes,” said Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto during a press briefing at Tanjung Priok Port on Thursday (6/11/2025), as reported by antaranwes.com.

The Directorate General of Taxes found 25 companies committing violations in 2025 and 257 others between 2021 and 2024, involving fake reports of Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) exports worth Rp 45.9 trillion ($2.9 billion).

Authorities are now investigating PT MMS and three affiliates for document manipulation, under-invoicing, and transfer pricing.
