Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir confirmed that Terminal 1F at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport will be inaugurated as a dedicated terminal for low-cost international flights in the first quarter of 2026.
“Terminal 1F will be officially opened for low-cost international carriers in the first quarter of 2026, God willing,” he said on Sunday (4/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The terminal is currently undergoing revitalization as part of efforts to boost the airport’s total passenger capacity from 56 million to 94 million annually. The upgrade aims to enhance passenger comfort and support Indonesia’s growing air traffic demand.
Citilink began operations from Terminal 1 in March 2025. TransNusa is scheduled to relocate after Eid 2025. The relocation of all low-cost carriers is planned in stages and will align with terminal improvements.
