Previously, the authority closed the Kaaba on July 1st,2020, due to the global pandemic of Covid-19. That policy also caused the restrictions on pilgrims who wants to touched and kissed the Kaaba and the Black Stone Hajar Aswad. Usually, the pilgrims who goes to Mecca kissed the Black Stone when doing tawaf or circling the Kaaba seven times. Hajar Aswad usually becomes the starting lines for the pilgrims to start and end the tawaf.
