inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. The Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88) arrested five terrorist suspects in East Java in the early hours of Tuesday (9/11/2021), who are members of Jamaah Islamiyah (JI). The first arrested person is BA, the JI regional coordinator for Bojonegoro.

"This person is the right hand of Abu Fatih and who prepared packages containing one M16 gun to HP", the Chief of General Information Agency of PR Division of Indonesian National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, said in the Indonesian National Police Headquarter.

Police then arrested AS in Gresik. The person is the alumni of Moro and the instructor on shooting and assembling guns and bombs. AS is also the JI regional coordinator for Surabaya. Based on Police investigation, AS once became the instructor of Tadrib Uhud, Poso; Head of Taqwiyah Qodimah (2008-2011); and Tarwiyah Rodhifah (2012); instructor of Tadrib Kolaka 1 and 2 (2011), and the Jasadiyah instructor.

The third one arrested is AN in Pare, Kediri regency. The person involved as the facilitator of Madlubin's security, the already arrested suspect, Justin, and Ibnu Rois, to Jambi. The team also arrested RH, aka AH, who is the coordinator of the departure of Justin (terrorist suspect) from Kediri to Jambi in August 2020.

"(AN) is the caretaker of the Ummah Fund Empowerment Institution of Baitul Hikmah, Kediri", the Chief of General Information Agency said.

The last one, MA, the terrorist suspect, was arrested in Sumenep. MA is the regional coordinator for Sumenep-Madura and is once the host and participant of the meeting with the Lajnah team in his house in June 2020. The five terrorist suspects are being interrogated by the investigators for case development.
