inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Law Supratman Andi will award scholarships to civil service schools for three members of the Flag Raising Troop from Southwest Papua who went viral on social media for their heroic actions during the 80th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony.

The three Flag Raising Troop members are Kristo Dimara, Afgan Sapulete, and Frans Beto Kolowa.

"I will provide them access to join the Ministry of Law through the Kemenkum's Politeknik Pengayoman civil service school, if they wish," said the Minister on Tuesday (8/19/2025).

In addition, the Minister will also award each of the three with a motorcycle, as requested.

The viral video shows the Flag Raising Troop in Southwest Papua serving in the 80th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony.

At the forefront, a boy named Kristo appears to be on the verge of fainting. Swiftly, his two colleagues, Afgan and Frans, helped Kristo stand and complete the ceremony.

The heartfelt moment from Southwest Papua, captured during the 80th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony, garnered public sympathy, including the Minister of Law and Human Rights.

The Minister commended the three Flag Raising Troop members via WhatsApp video call.

"I had a video call with the three students, accompanied by the National Unity and Politics representative in Sorong. After watching the video, I was touched by the nationalist spirit of these young men," said the Minister.
