Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana on Friday (26/12/2025) denied reports claiming Bali was quiet during the 2025 Christmas holiday, saying visitor activity remained strong with only a slight decline.
“Bali is not quiet, it remains busy, with only about a two percent decrease,” she said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The Minister explained that the decline occurred mainly among domestic tourists, who opted for destinations in Java due to unfavorable weather conditions. Meanwhile, international arrivals continued to rise, reaching around 6.8 million visitors, close to the government’s annual target of seven million.
She responded to public concerns over reports of reduced traffic and hotel occupancy in Bali. Local authorities and industry data indicate that seasonal rainfall affected outdoor activities, not overall tourist interest.
