Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Traffic Corps has prohibited three-axle vehicles from using toll roads nationwide during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holiday period to prioritize safety and smooth traffic flow.
“This decision follows a joint decree and inter-agency coordination, and three-axle vehicles are not allowed on toll roads during Nataru,” said Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho on Saturday (27/12/2025).
The restriction applies throughout the holiday period, while movement on arterial roads is regulated by specific time windows. Korlantas urged logistics companies and drivers to comply, warning that violations will be strictly enforced, according to antaranews.com.
The policy was issued as part of broader traffic management measures during the holiday season. Agus said traffic safety performance has improved, with fatal road accident deaths declining by 23.23 percent during the ongoing operation.
The Traffic Corps has also prepared return-flow strategies covering toll roads, arterial routes, crossings, and tourist areas to ensure safe and orderly travel.
