“This free ticket program is expected to help communities, especially in remote areas and small islands, celebrate Christmas and New Year with their families,” said Director of Sea Traffic and Transportation at the Directorate General of Sea Transportation, Budi Mantoro, on Wednesday (17/12/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The program is operated by national shipping companies PT Sakti Inti Makmur, PT Dharma Indah, and PT Belibis Papua Mandiri with departures scheduled from mid to late December 2025. Routes cover eastern Indonesia and island regions, including NTT, Maluku, Sulawesi, Papua, and West Papua.
