Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. In commemoration of the International Labor Day on May 1st, 2024, the West Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Adang Ginanjar expressed his appreciation to laborers in the province for a smooth May Day march.

The statement was conveyed during a press release which stressed the importance of the labor role in the national economy and police commitment in protecting their rights.

“A solid cooperation between the police and labor community is the key to create a safe and conducive work environment,” said Adang on Wednesday (5/1/2024).

Adang also underscores the importance of maintaining a safe and adequate work environment, while also ensuring social justice for the laborer.

Adang also invites laborers to also improve their skills and potentials as part of an effort to boost their productivity and creativity.

“We believe that by improving individual skills, it will also push their career development and labor’s prosperity,” continued Adang.

The May Day march in West Sulawesi also presented an interactive dialogue between labor representatives and local industry owners, which hopefully could further strengthen their bonds and understanding.
