The arrival of the West Sumatra Police Chief was welcomed by the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Mentawai Island which includes the Regent of the Mentawai Islands Regency, the Chairperson of the Mentawai Regional House of Representatives, the Commander of the Military District 0319 Mentawai, the Commander of the Mentawai TNI-Navy Base, The Head of Mentawai SAR team, the Head of the Mentawai Islands Police, and other stakeholders. The West Sumatra Police Chief with his entourage headed to Mentawai using the Mentawai fast boat with a travel time of approximately 3 hours, where the group departed from Muara Padang at around 07:30 WIB and arrived at the Tuapejat port, Mentawai Regency at 11:00 WIB. Mentawai Police Chief, AKBP. Mu'at, S.H., M.M., said that the agenda for Inspector General Teddy Minahasa was to inaugurate the KM 2 Police Dormitory and establish a relationship with the community of Mentawai Islands Regency. "Besides that, the Regional Police Chief has also scheduled to directly meet with Mentawai Police personnel, followed by interfaith prayer activities which will be held tonight at the Mentawai Police Headquarters," said the Mentawai Police Chief. The Mentawai Police Chief added that the West Sumatra Police Chief and his entourage also held gave some provisions to the Mentawai community after the joint prayer.
