Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian duo Aldila Sutjiadi and Janice Tjen claimed the WTA 125 Suzhou doubles title in China on Sunday (5/10/2025) after defeating Katarzyna Kawa (Poland) and Makoto Ninomiya (Japan) 6-4, 6-3 in the final.
“They were quite good, and I know both of them. They’ve been competing on the WTA Tour quite often,” Aldila told antaranews.com via instant message, noting that the pair had beaten the tournament’s top seeds in the semifinals.
The fourth-seeded Indonesians dominated with a 72.2 percent first-serve success rate, hitting one ace and only two double faults, while converting three of seven break points. The final lasted one hour and 14 minutes.
Aldila partnered Janice after exiting early from the China Open in Beijing. The duo had previously paired at the ITF W35 Arcadia in California and won bronze at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. Aldila’s return marked a full recovery from sudden deafness that sidelined her early this season.
