The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) of Yahukimo led by Elkius Kobak again committed an armed crime by shooting a civilian named Indra Guru Wardana in Kolf Braza District, Asmat Regency, Sunday (9/21/2025). After the shooting, the perpetrators also burned the victim's house to the ground.

Head of Damai Cartenz Operations, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, confirmed the incident. He said that the chronology of the incident was still being investigated because access to the location was quite difficult.

"The crime scene is quite far from us and communication is also not very good, so we are still continuing to collect complete data regarding this incident," said Faizal.

Vice Head of Cartenz Peace Operations, Senior Superintendent Adarma Sinaga, said that the number of perpetrators was estimated to be six people, one of whom was carrying a sniper rifle.

The Task Force is currently conducting security efforts and conducting further investigations. The Indonesian National Police (INP) emphasized that the state will not be defeated by armed crime, and that public safety remains its top priority.
