inp.polri.go.id - Bangka Belitung. The Bangka Belitung Provincial Government commends the Bangka Belitung Regional Police for their successful investigation into the disappearance of a ventilator belonging to the Bangka Belitung General Hospital (RSUP).

This announcement was made by Bangka Belitung Governor Hidayat Arsani, accompanied by Bangka Belitung Regional Police Chief Inspector General Hendro Pandowo, on Tuesday morning (7/22/2025).

"We, the Bangka Belitung Government, express our deepest gratitude for the performance of the Regional Police Chief and his staff in successfully uncovering the ventilator theft case involving three thieves and two receivers, along with evidence that is now at the Regional Police," said Hidayat Arsani in Pangkalpinang.

According to Hidayat Arsani, the disclosure of this case serves as a lesson, especially for the suspects. Furthermore, he continued, the theft of the medical equipment was carried out by individuals from the hospital itself.

"This is a lesson for thieves that stealing hospital equipment is the same as taking someone's life in the struggle for survival. They are automatically dismissed because it involves a personal life," he concluded.

Furthermore, the Governor of Babel supports the police in prosecuting the suspects in the theft of medical equipment from Babel Hospital.

"On behalf of the Governor, we thank the Regional Police Chief for uncovering this case. The case is currently under investigation and will soon be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office for Case 21," he said.
