Bapanas Conduct Food Safety Tests at Tigaraksa Warehouse Market

“We are here to conduct a food safety test and from the several samples that has been tested, we did not find any prohibited residues,” said the Deputy for Food Availability and Stabilization of Bapanas, I Gusti Ketut Astawa.

There are eight food commodities tested by Bapanas, they are onion and garlic, cucumbers, cayenne peppers, tomatoes and carrots. They are proven to be free from pesticide contamination, heavy metals mercury and lead.

On the other hand, mackerel fish and chicken meat are formaldehyde free. He says the results show that the food safety in Tigaraksa Warehouse Market is safe for consumption.

At the end of his statements, he ensures that food security will continue to be monitored so that food security is well guaranteed. He also asked for collaboration with local governments to carry it out regularly.
