Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) destroys 9,492.49 grams of narcotics confiscated from a number of cases, from drugs sent from the US to drug cases involving inmates in the correctional facilities.

The Executive Secretary of BNN, Tantan Sulistyana says that the termination of the drugs demonstrates their transparency and BNN responsibility to the public according to the mandate of Article 91 and Article 92 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

Of the 9.4 kilograms of drugs destroyed, 6.3 kilograms of it are meth, 1.8 kilograms of weed, and 1.2 kilograms of ecstasy. The drugs were confiscated from four cases with seven suspects arrested in March.

By destroying the drug evidence, it is estimated that BNN has saved around 18,500 from the illicit drugs.

Following the activity, Tantan invites all public to support and work together with the law enforcement in eradicating drug flows.

“Let us together eradicate drugs according to our respective roles and functions,” said Tantan in conclusion.
