Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s state-owned logistics company Bulog confirmed its rice reserves are sufficient to meet national demand through Chinese New Year, the fasting month of Ramadan, and Eid al Fitr 2026, totaling 3.35 million tons across its warehouses.
“Our rice stock nationwide currently stands at 3,351,900 tons and is fully secure for upcoming holiday periods,” said Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani on Friday (9/1/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
The strategic reserve, managed for price stabilization and supply security, will expand with the 2026 harvest, aiming to absorb an additional four million tons. This could raise total stocks to nearly seven million tons, strengthening Bulog’s capacity to intervene in markets and provide food assistance.
Bulog’s distribution strategy involves precise coordination across agencies to ensure timely delivery and maintain national food stability, particularly during high-demand seasons.
