inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. The launching of the Central Java Regional Police of Mageri Segoro program was a success. The program, whose initiation was centred in Bendono Village, Saying District, Demak Regency, was attended by the Central Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, Military Commander IV/Diponegoro Major General Rudianto, and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo. On that occasion, the Central Java Regional Police, Magi Segoro, broke the MURI record in planting mangroves of 1 million trees. The previous record was held by the North Sumatra Regional Police, who planted 280 thousand mangrove trees. The award was handed over directly by the Indonesian World of Record (MURI) representative to the Regional Police Chief at the location of the activity. This Two-Star General, in his speech, said that Mageri Segoro is to build living fences in areas both at river mouths and beaches. Mageri Segoro activities are not only planting mangroves but also empowering coastal communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. "This activity is also packaged by holding a covid 19 vaccination at every Resort Police in the Regional Police area on the coastline. For the Bendono area, 2,000 vaccines were brought in today," said the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief. In addition, the Regional Police also carried out social services for the affected coastal communities. There are 500 packages given to the people of Bendono. "Currently, we have harvested shellfish from the fostered products. This is done to help the community's economy in overcoming the impact of COVID-19," he explained. Regarding the Mageri Segoro program in the Bendono area, the Central Java Regional Police embraced 470 communities and Regional Leadership Communication Forum to plant mangrove trees. One location is targeted to plant 10 thousand mangrove trees. "This was carried out simultaneously in 16 Resort Police we launched today," said the Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief.
