However, the Regional Police established command posts at several points prone to forest and land fires, especially guarding the area around the airport in Banjarbaru to interfere with flights from the smog caused by land fires. "Meanwhile, other areas are the responsibility of the local Resort Police along with other joint officers from both the regional government and the National Forces," he explained. This year's prevention and control of forest and land fires also prioritize information technology, namely the application of the digital Forest and Land Fires Control Analysis System (Digital Smoke) and Lancang Kuning according to the direction of the National Police Chief. Meanwhile, the South Kalimantan Regional Police itself also has an application for the Eradication of Forest and Land Fires (Bekantan) belonging to the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation. Through this application, personnel will immediately receive a notification if there are reports from the community in their area that forest and land fires have occurred.
