Chief of Central Java Regional Police Appeals the Public not to Provoked by the July 24 Demonstration

Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, appeals to the public not to be provoked by information spread across social media about an invitation to demonstrate in the middle of PPKM (Community Activity Restriction Enforcement) implementation on July 24, 2021. "(I urge) people not to be triggered and provoked. We are investigating and will punish the provocateur", the Chief of Central Java Regional Police said during the Large Scale Patrol Personnel Rally in Semarang on Friday night. Therefore, the Chief of Regional Police asks people to stay home and observing Covi-19 Health Protocols. Chief of Regional Police addresses his apology if people are disturbed by the PPKM implementation. Even so, he affirms that PPKM is implemented for public health and safety. Police and Armed Forces would conduct large scale patrols in all regions of Central Java. Meanwhile, Commander of 4th/Diponegoro Military Region, Armed Forces Major General Rudianto, encourages the public not to be provoked by information that could make Central Java not conducive.
