Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police provides 8 tons of sacrificial beef and collaborates with ten Padang restaurant owners across Jakarta. Based on the calculation, there will be 10,000 beef rendang packages distributed to poor and self-isolating people.
"We will pack them into 800 grams per package, so there will be around 10,000 packages that are going to be distributed", Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Inspector General Mohammad Fadil Imran, said on Tuesday (20/07/2021).
Police Inspector General Mohammad Fadil Imran said that the Community Police Unit would be tasked with the package distributor to give the packages to the people from 15.00 local time.
"Community Police Unit has the data of poor and self-isolating people on every subdistrict. We will distribute the package to them", Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police said.
The package would be delivered door-to-door to avoid the mass crowd.
The distribution will complement the social care aid packages from the government, which are five kilograms of rice and basic necessities per household.
"We will give rendang and rice to the people. We hope this aid could be beneficial for the poor and self-isolating people", the two-star general concludes.
