The Special Detachment 88 Anti-Terror Unit (Densus 88) arrested two individuals believed to be involved in the Astana Anyar Sector Police suicide bombing in Bandung, West Java. The suspects, identified as S and T were arrested in Boyolali, Central Java. "Densus 88 carried out the arrest of the suspected terrorists, S and T, on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in the Boyolali region of Central Java. They are believed to have ties to the suicide bombing incident at the Astana Anyar Sector Police in Bandung, West Java," announced Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, the Head of Public Affairs of the Public Relations Division, on Thursday (3/8/23). He elaborated that both S and T were involved in the preparation of the suicide bomb used in the Astana Anyar Sector Police. This explosive device was subsequently employed by the suspect AM, who tragically lost his life in the incident. The investigators from Densus 88 are currently delving deeper into the activities of the suspects through questioning and examination, he added.
