During the five days of the Eid Homecoming travel ban (6-17 May 2021), thousands of vehicles pushed back by the Jakarta Regional Police because they were plucky to homecoming.
"24,477 vehicles were being pushed back for five days," explained the Head of Public Relations Section, Jakarta Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus, Tuesday (11 May 2021).
Yusri Yunus decipher the types of pushed back vehicles, 14742 motorbikes and 7887 private cars. Then, 1535 passenger cars or public transportation and 313 cargo cars.
"All vehicle pushed back at our 42 checkpoints," said the Head of Public Relations Section, Jakarta Regional Police.
Yusri Yunus also mentioned that 54,410 vehicles were inspected at 21 checkpoints. A total of 23,720 vehicles pushed back, 2,679 vehicles were also inspected at 21 checkpoints. As a result, 757 vehicles pushed back.
"We also found sixteen illegal travel services at the insulation gates and one illegal travel service at the checkpoint. As many as 17 illegal travels we took action with ticket sanctions, our cars were confiscated until the end of Eid (17 May 2021)," presume by Yusri Yunus.
Yusri Yunus said the operation did not only inspect vehicles. The police also carry out a rapid antigen test. A total of 117 people underwent rapid antigen tests at 21 insulation points. Meanwhile, two people underwent a rapid antigen test at 21 checkpoints.
"We also distributed 4,526 masks. A total of 1,358 masks distributed at 21 points of insulation points and 3,168 masks distributed at 21 checkpoints," Yusri Yunus responded.
The government has banned the 2021 Eid homecoming to prevent the spread of covid-19 from spreading to rural areas. The community is expected to comply with the policy of the homecoming postpone policy.
