inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education will involve a number of stakeholders in the field of education in conducting policy evaluations. Primarily for policies in the field of primary and secondary education.

Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Prof. Atip Latipulhayat, said that this evaluation was carried out solely to answer the challenges and needs of an increasingly dynamic era, especially with different situations.

"So change is not something that should be avoided or considered bad. Not at all," he said on Sunday (11/10/2024).

In his statement, he signaled that there would be a number of changes in policies and learning processes in the classroom, both in terms of methods and curriculum.

"Both are possible. It has been conveyed earlier, change is inevitable," he explained.

Among them are about the implementation of the learning process that has been running in schools. Starting from the way teachers teach to the evaluation of the implementation of the curriculum created by the former Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Nadiem Makarim.

"However, it does not mean that the previous policies are not good. We are only changing what is necessary,” says Atip.

When asked about the possibility of Merdeka Curriculum to be changed, Atip did not rule out the option.

"Maybe the exact word is we are revising the Merdeka Curriculum with some parts  needed to be changed," he concluded.
