inp.polri.go.id - The celebration of the 76th Anniversary of Bhayangkara by the South Kalimantan Police (Polda Kalsel) was held differently at the Wajracyena Mobile Brigadier HQ of Polda Kalsel after heavy rains hit Banua and caused flooding in the cities of Banjarbaru, Martapura and Banjarmasin. Although the ceremony was held virtually with the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, the celebration was still carried out in full solemnity. Polda Kalsel invited all ranks of the South Kalimantan Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), retired officers, as well as NGO elements, and community leaders as an effort to embrace their tight relationship in maintaining balance in Banua. It is proven by the solidity of Banua when facing every major event or when dealing with the Covid outbreak, which runs smoothly. However, South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Drs. Rikwanto, S.H., M.Hum., also apologized to the people of South Kalimantan, because there are still many of his staff who are unprofessional in providing services, as well as reminding its members to use this momentum to work even better in maintaining the stability of the Banua. The apology refers to the index of public satisfaction with the performance of the National Police in the region which has decreased to 60%, whereas previously it was still above 70%.
