Meanwhile, regarding the operation of the airport runway, Minister Basuki said that it depends on the Minister of Transportation regarding its functional suitability.

He said the runway of the Nusantara airport only needs lights for the runway. "I think there should be lights first, that's what's not been installed yet. Hopefully it can be done soon," explained Minister Basuki.

Previously, the Ministry of Transportation had carried out a calibration process for all facilities and equipment at Nusantara Airport in IKN to ensure the operational readiness of the airport in accordance with flight safety standards.

The airport calibration process is carried out to ensure flight safety and security, as well as to ensure the operation of air transportation support equipment runs correctly and accurately.

Calibration is the initial stage of a series of evaluations carried out to ensure flight safety and security at an airport. This process includes setting and testing landing aids such as radar and navigation systems.
