The brutal assault occured in Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua, on Wednesday 2 March toward the BTS maintenance workers by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). As a result of this action, 8 workers from PT. Palapa Timur Telematika died, while 1 other worker who happened not to be there at the time of the attack, was reported to have survived.
This sadistic actions carried out by the KKB group, led by Gen Goliath Tabuni and Lekagak Telenggen, is certainly cannot be accepted because they attack civilians, who are actually working to improve the quality of communication in Papua, which will certainly have an impact on the welfare of the people there.
In addition to pursuing the perpetrators of this cowardly act, currently the Cartenz Papua Peace Operations Team must also focus on how to evacuate the living workers who are still there, and also bring the bodies of the workers who are still lying at the shooting site which is on the border between Puncak Regency and Intan Jaya Regency.
