One of these efforts can be done by paying attention to commodity price fluctuations in each region.

"In general, there are commodity prices that are rising and falling which both require the role of the regional government and its ranks to maintain them," said Restuardy on Tuesday (10/15/2024).

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia's current economic development is doing amazing. This is indicated by the maintained annual inflation in September 2024 of 1.84 percent.

Despite the achievement, he wants all parties to continue to maintain the stability of food commodity prices.

In order to control commodity prices, Restuardy assessed that preventive measures are needed from the central government and local governments such as holding market operations, mobilizing the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID), and taking cross-sectoral measures if necessary.

He also warned the local government to pay attention to food prices so that the public gets fair prices.

"The public must get fair prices and producers can get the fair margins to maintain production," explained Director General Restuardy.
