In a Week, North Sumatra Regional Police Secures Hundreds of Drugs Criminals

Inp.polri.go.id – North Sumatra. The North Sumatra Regional Police and ranks continue its war against drugs as they have arrested 230 suspects since April 29th to May 6th.

From the arrest, police seized a total of 118.58 kilogram of meth, 70.40 kg of weed, 100,012 ecstasy pills, a cash of 16,140,000 million, and bongs.

The North Sumatra Regional Police PR Chief, Senior Superintendent Hadi Wahyudi says that the effort in eradicating drugs are proven by how intense his party is in uncovering drug networks and arresting drug dealers and couriers in the province.

Based on the existing data, the number of drug law enforcement in 2023, the North Sumatra Regional Police have uncovered 5,225 drug cases with a total suspect of 6,570.

Hadi adds that during the intense drug law enforcement for the past six months, the number of drug criminal activities are declining for 22.37%.

“Drug criminal activities uncovering is a routine activity for us, not a special ops. We hoped and urged the public to avoid the drugs as they are our common enemy,” conclude Hadi.
