Inp.polri.go.id - Bangkok. Indonesia won a taekwondo gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games after the men’s recognized poomsae team delivered a strong and consistent performance on Wednesday (10/12/2025).
The trio, consisting of Muhammad Rizal, Muhammad Hafizh Fachrul Rhazy, and Muhammad Alfi Kusuma topped the scoreboard at Island Hall, Fashion Island Shopping Mall, outperforming the Philippines, which took silver, while Malaysia and Thailand shared bronze.
While NOC Indonesia initially announced taekwondo as the country’s first gold, the SEA Games’ official website recorded mixed kayak four 500 meters as Indonesia’s actual first gold.
In rowing, Indonesia’s mixed kayak four team of Stevani Maysche Ibo, Subhi, Indra Hidayat, and Ramla Baharuddin won gold after a dramatic late surge at the Royal Navy Rowing and Canoeing Training Center in Chonburi, overtaking Singapore in the final seconds with a time of 1:37.916.
