Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Investigators from the Directorate of Narcotics Crime at the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police (INP) have disclosed several distributions of methamphetamine and ecstasy narcotics. From this disclosure, investigators seized 482 kg of methamphetamine and 162,932 ecstasy pills.

The Head of theINP's Criminal Investigation Board, Police Commissioner General Agus Andrianto explained the evidence was from three cases uncovered in Aceh, Riau, and Bali.

"The operation was carried out during June at 3 crime scenes, namely Aceh, Riau, and Bali," he said in a press conference on Friday (30/6/2023).

In the first case, investigators revealed in Aceh, where there was information that drugs entered from Malaysia via North Sumatra. Then three suspects were arrested, namely S and H.

The Director of Drug Crimes at the INP Criminal Investigation Board, Police Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa, explained that 384 crystal methamphetamine were seized from the suspects. The suspects smuggled the illicit goods by sea.

Furthermore, the second case was revealed in Riau, where the illicit goods came from Malaysia via Dumai Riau. Finally, suspect H was arrested and 80 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 22,932 ecstasy pills were confiscated.

"This is also by sea. So we did this disclosure together with the team from Customs and Excise," he said.

Meanwhile in the third case in Bali, the police managed to secure 140 thousand ecstasy pills. Investigators arrested 10 suspects at this location.

"The modus operandi of the suspects was to send these narcotics from the Netherlands by land to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, then proceed to Bali because the potential buyers are on the Island of the Gods," he explained.
