Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Amid the Iran-Israel conflict, Indonesian citizens were advised to anticipate flight delays when traveling through or transiting Middle Eastern countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also recommended contacting airlines promptly for updated flight information, according to antaranews.com "Indonesian nationals planning trips to Iran and Israel were urged to postpone their plans," the Ministry said in a statement on Sunday (14/4/2024). The escalating security situation had prompted several Middle Eastern countries to impose airspace restrictions or closures. Jordan, Israel, Iraq, and Lebanon had temporarily halted flights through their airspace following Iran's drone and missile launches towards Israel. The Ministry and Indonesian representatives in the Middle East were closely monitoring developments. "In emergencies, Indonesian nationals could contact the nearest Indonesian representative or use the Safe Travel app," the Ministry added. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
