Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police Chief (INP), General Listyo Prabowo, believed that the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police are committed to resolving the case involving former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chairman Firli Bahuri. This assurance followed increasing demands for his detention since being named a suspect three months ago, including letters from three former KPK leaders, antaranews.com reported.
"We respect their thorough investigation and deliberate approach. It's clear they're treating this matter seriously," he said on Monday night (4/3/2024), referring to the Jakarta Police investigators.
Firli was named a suspect in November last year in an alleged extortion case involving KPK leadership and former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
Jakarta Police investigators have questioned Firli twice as a witness and four times as a suspect. Firli has missed several investigator summonses, the latest occurring last month.
