Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has deployed the Formed Police Unit (FPU) 7 MINUSCA to serve under the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic.
The ceremony took place Thursday (25/9/2025) at the INP Headquarters in Jakarta.
“Indonesia actively contributes to UN peacekeeping missions. With this contribution, Indonesia now ranks fifth globally as one of the largest contributors to UN peace operations,” Chief Sigit said in his remarks, according to an official statement quoted by antaranews.com.
The deployment highlighted Indonesia’s long-standing commitment to global peace, recently reaffirmed by President Prabowo Subianto during the 80th UN General Assembly in New York. Members of FPU 7 underwent months of intensive training, including a traditional beret ceremony, to prepare for challenges in the field.
The INP highlighted that the mission comes at a sensitive time, coinciding with national elections in the Central African Republic. Indonesian forces are expected to provide security and uphold international stability.
