inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo sets the The Directorate of Women and Children's Crimes and Human Trafficking Crimes (PPA-PPO) to be developed to the Regional Police and Sub-regional Police levels.
This step was taken in order to support the protection of women and children in Indonesia.
The statement was delivered by the Chief of Police during his speech at the Tanwir I Aisyiyah event held by the Tavia Heritage Hotel, Central Jakarta on Wednesday (1/15/2025). The Chief of Police initially told of the Police's struggle in forming the PPA-PPO Directorate.
“It is not easy to transform the Sub-directorate into a full fledged Directorate. Maybe for some of you who have worked with us, you can relate to our struggle in transforming the Sub-directorate to Special Directorate,” says General Sigit.
To all Tanwir Aisyiyah participants, the General Sigit asked for support so that the PPA-PPO Directorate could be established in the Regional Police and Sub-regional Police levels.
The Chief of Police emphasized that support from Aisyiyah is very important to support the harmonization of the PPA-PPO Directorate structure within the Police.
"We want this directorate not only at the INP HQ level, but also the Regional Police and Sub-regional Police. Currently we are also struggling to carry out this harmonization at the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform. And while we are meeting Aisyiyah today, we are sure that if Aisyiyah also helps voiced our concern to the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform. Hopefully next week this harmonization can be completed soon," added the Chief of Police.
