Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo revealed his rationale for delivering direction to the Indonesian Miitary (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) officials at the State Palace in the new capital, Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, on Thursday (12/9/2024).

"I brought the meeting to IKN because I want everyone to see the progress of this future city, to experience the spirit of transformation firsthand. This will help carry that spirit back to their regions," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

President Jokowi highlighted his vision for Indonesia, aiming for equitable development and achieving Golden Indonesia 2045, where the country’s per capita GDP is expected to reach USD 23,000.

He also stressed that relocating to IKN symbolizes a shift in mindset and work culture towards efficiency, simplicity, and speed.

 "In the future, fast nations will surpass slow ones, regardless of size," the President remarked.
