Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) and Indonesian Military (TNI) are scheduled to conduct a joint roll call on Monday to prepare for the security arrangements for Pope Francis’ visit and the International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024 in Jakarta.
Brigadier General Tjahyono Saputro, the INP Operation Tribrata Jaya 2024 Head of Public Relations, said on Sunday (1/9/2024) that the roll call, led by the Commander of the INP Mobile Brigade (Brimob) and the Commander of Joint Regional Defense Command 1, will be held at TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta.
The exercise aimed to ensure that all personnel are clear on their roles and responsibilities to avoid any mistakes during the operation, according to antaranews.com.
Around 4,000 personnel, including members of the TNI, the INP, the Presidential Security Force (Paspampres), and other agencies, will be deployed.
Pope Francis' visit, scheduled for 3 to 6 September 2024, will include a state meeting with President Joko Widodo and a mass at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium on 5 September 2024.
Traffic management, including road closures, will be implemented along the Pope’s route, affecting areas from the airport to the Cathedral, Merdeka Palace, Istiqlal Mosque, and GBK. The public is advised to anticipate disruptions.
Operation Tribrata Jaya 2024, which spans 2 to 7 September 2024, will also secure the ISF 2024 at the Jakarta Convention Center on 5 to 6 September 2024.
