Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP) has enhanced security measures for the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) Summit and High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholders Partnership (HLF MSP) 2024 in Bali by deploying 18 sniffer dogs from the K9 unit of the INP Security Maintenance Agency’s Sabhara Corps Directorate of Police Canine..

Senior Superintendent Sudaryono, the Head of the K9 Sterilization Sub-task Force, said on Sunday (1/9/2024) that the dogs, including Belgian Malinois, German Shepherds, and Labradors, are specialized in detecting explosives and other hazardous materials. 

The K9 unit is responsible for sterilizing and ensuring the safety of venues such as Hotel Mulia.

Chief Sudaryono emphasized that the K9 teams provide additional assurance to international guests, ensuring that the event proceeds smoothly without security threats. The dogs undergo daily training to maintain their sharp detection capabilities, particularly in complex environments.
