Senior Superintendent Sudaryono, the Head of the K9 Sterilization Sub-task Force, said on Sunday (1/9/2024) that the dogs, including Belgian Malinois, German Shepherds, and Labradors, are specialized in detecting explosives and other hazardous materials.
The K9 unit is responsible for sterilizing and ensuring the safety of venues such as Hotel Mulia.
Chief Sudaryono emphasized that the K9 teams provide additional assurance to international guests, ensuring that the event proceeds smoothly without security threats. The dogs undergo daily training to maintain their sharp detection capabilities, particularly in complex environments.
