Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. The Soekarno-Hatta Sub-regional Airport Police investigated the cause of a fire that broke out at a food and beverage tenant in the departure area of Terminal 3 early Sunday morning (1/9/2024).
Soekarno Hatta Airport Police Head of Operation, Senior Inspector Alvin, said that the investigation continued. Authorities, including the airport's management, Angkasa Pura II, have conducted a thorough examination of the scene.
The airport's emergency response team, Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF), were able to control the fire. Witnesses at the scene were questioned, with two witnesses provided testimony, according to antaranews.com.
Despite the incident, Soekarno-Hatta Airport's operations and flight schedules continued as usual, with passengers being provided with masks for smooth boarding.
The fire started around 4.24 am, and ARFF personnel extinguished it by 4:30 am. There were no casualties, and the affected tenant is expected to resume operations soon.
