The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps advised people who planned to go their hometowns during homecoming season to not go during its peak flow which is on April 8th, 2024. Same goes when returning from hometown as the peak for the return flow is on April 14th, 2024. Head Ops of INP Traffic Corps, Senior Superintendent Eddy Junaedi also reminds people to always comply with the traffic laws and traffic officer guidance. People are also suggested to respect each other while on the road. Eddy also reminds car drivers to prepare their accounts balance to prevent queueing at the toll gates. People are also advised to rest in the rest area if they are feeling tired. “If the rest are is full, you are advised to use the next rest area instead,” explains Eddy on Monday (3/18/2024). For bikers, INP Traffic Corps reminds them to further check their motorbike before departing to hometown and use proper safety gears. They are also implored to not carry more than one person and advised to prioritized their own safety. However, police still not recommend them to travel far.
