inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps Chief, Inspector General Agus Suryo Nugroho reviews the road in Batu Tourism City, East Java, during the 2025 Ketupat Operation. The goal of this activity is to ensure smooth traffic during Eid.
Agus, accompanied by the Executive Director of PT Jasa Raharja, Rivan A. Purwantono and the Traffic Director of East Java Regional Police, reviews the road and locations prone to traffic accidents and congestions in Malang Raya.
According to Agus, Batu has caught their attention as the area has 25 tourist destinations, which potentially could increase the traffic volume. Therefore, various traffic engineering and traffic diversions are prepared.
He further emphasized that coordination with related stakeholders are important to ensure the smooth Ketupat Operation.
“We are optimistic with this preparation, we are sure that we can handle the traffic,” says Agus.
INP Traffic Corps itself has mapped four clusters of homecoming traffic management, namely in the toll roads, highway, tourist destinations, and ports. Every cluster has its own challenges and requires a different approach.
Agus hopes that this operation can take place without any significant obstacles. "We are trying to ensure that there is no congestion, only density that has been anticipated well," he concluded.
