Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Government will apply for the deactivation of 92,000 Population Identification Numbers (NIK) of Jakartans to the Ministry of Home Affairs this week.
The Head of Population and Civil Registration Department of Jakarta, Budi Awaludin says the coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs in deactivating 92,000 NIK was in order to start a program to control Jakarta residents' KTPs.
The 92,493 NIK that will be deactivated consisted of 81,119 NIK of those who have passed away and 11,374 others who have not existed already.
Moreover, the deactivated NIK can be activated again with them coming to the post at the Population and Civil Registration Department of Jakarta in their neighborhood.
