Inp.polri.go.id - Jayawijaya.  The Chief of Jayawijaya Sub-regional Police, Superintendent Heri Wibowo, has confirmed the smooth distribution of logistics for the 2024 General Elections, encompassing both the presidential and legislative  polls in his jurisdiction. "On Thursday, we paid a visit to the logistics hub in Jayawijaya Regency, witnessing the situation firsthand," he said on  on Monday (29/1/2024). In addition to the visit, he personally inspected the ballot boxes at the logistics warehouse of the General Election Commission (KPU) in Jayawijaya Regency, located on Hom-hom Street, Wamena, antaranews.com reported "We also examined the ballot sorting activities at the KPU office on SD Percobaan Street, Wamena," Chief Heri said, explaining that his visits aimed at assuring the security and preparation of the KPU for the upcoming elections in Jayawijaya. "We also remind the public to maintain peace in the lead-up to the February elections as this is a collective responsibility," he emphasized. He further assured that police personnel, particularly from the Public Order Division, will continue providing information to the public through community leaders and youth representatives to garner support for the electoral process in Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains.
