Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Judicial Commission (KY) has permanently dismissed three judges who acquitted Gregorius Ronald Tannur in the murder case of Dini Sera Afrianti.

The judges—Erintuah Damanik, Mangapul, and Heru Hanindyo—were found guilty of violating the Judicial Code of Ethics and Conduct (KEPPH), according to antaranews.com.

KY's Chair of Judicial Supervision and Investigation, Joko Sasmito, said that the judges committed severe ethical violations.

"The reported judges were proven to have violated the KEPPH, classified as serious offenses," he said during a presentation of the KY’s findings at a meeting with the House of Representatives (DPR) Commission III on Monday (26/8/2024).

The decision to dismiss the judges was made in a plenary session earlier that day, with all seven KY members in attendance.

Among the findings, Joko highlighted discrepancies between the legal facts presented in court and the final verdict. The judges also failed to consider crucial evidence, such as CCTV footage and expert testimony, leading to a controversial acquittal.

House of Representattves Commission III Deputy Chair Habiburokhman acknowledged KY’s thorough investigation but suggested the dismissal should have been without pension rights.
